Additional needs with SC?
Hey guys. I'm going to get a Vortech S-1 This summer once I have the money, but is there any other mods that need to be done to the car? Mines an 02GT and all I have done right now is a Cat-Back system. I plan on going with gears and more bolt ons after I get the SC unless its absolutely needed before hand..

JUST STAY IN THE 8 PSI RANGE AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE. I'M RUNNING 10 PSI WITH SOME BOLT ONS, I DON'T RACE MY CAR ON THE WEEKENDS BUT I DO LIKE TO GET ON IT ONCE IN A WHILE. I BURN A QT. OF OIL EVERY 1000 MILES @ 60.000 MILE ON THE CLOCK. THIS SUMMER I PLAN ON BUYING A RACE BLOCK AND A UPGRADE ON THE BLOWER, MAYBE 15 TO 20 PSI , SO I NEED FORGED INTERNALS.

Don't forget the Fuel upgrades. If you are just going with 8psi you should only need an SVT Focus pump. This is all I plan on with my 02 GT. I to only have a cat-back and next mod will either be 4.10's or I'll just save up for the supercharger setup.

i would do research on gears. you dont NEED them or the Short throw shifter(STS) but they would help a lot.
I've grinded the gears once or twice when i get on it with the stock shifter. As for Gears, many suggest only 3.73's if you are going F/I. Unless you have an Auto than some say 4.10's.
if i could id go with 4.56's on my 5spd just because it sounds more beastly =P especially if/when I go F/I
