I use Magnaflow catbacks and they are very quality systems. My only gripe is the left side doesn't clear my rear sway bar by more than 3/4" so it bangs when I hit dips and bumps. My car is lowered, though, with Steeda sport springs. Nice mellow sound at idle but really comes alive under heavy acceleration. As far as drone, I would think the MagnaPacks would have much more drone than the MagnaFlows as they are very loud much the same as Loudmouths. I have the "Flows" and they are pretty good overall. My real problem that I didn't take into consideration is I have convertible. There is definitely a drone of sorts with the vert's as they are not isolated from the trunk as much as the Mustang Coupes are. But, then again, if the top is down.....who cares! Magnaflow=Quality without breaking the bank such as going with Borla or Bassani. You'll save $200 to $300+ on going with Magnaflow virsus another manufacturer in the Borla/Bassani range. They do have quality kits with excellent materials but I tend to think they are a little pricey. Whatever floats your boat. Good luck with your choices!

Im just getting back into the mustang world after a 7 year break and I will be looking for exhaust soon. I am not a big believer in louder is faster, so I am basically looking for advice on a good free flowing exhaust that wont wake the dead. Any suggestions? I previously ran an offroad h pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters and I dont want to be any near that loud. This will be for a 98 GT.

thanks
I currently have a 99GT with stingers and an o/r H.
if you dont want something that will as you said, wake the dead, dont get stingers with anything o/r.

I absolutely LOVE the idle of it with the o/r H, as far as tone AND volume

but i would suggest finding a GT with just the stinger catback, i have heard people say that the catback alone sounds very good on a stock exhaust. If youre interested in hearing my car with the o/r H and the stingers, just let me know and i can post a link,

good luck with whatever you choose

erockk, the Bassani cat-back system on the ROUSH I have isn't loud, but it has a nice rumble to it when you get on the throttle. It gave the 05 GT a 12 HP gain. I don't know what it'll do w/ your mustang, but you won't be disappointed.
