if i have a catback and headers on a 96 or newer mustang do i have to have an x pipe.

the reason i ask these questions is because i was a camaro guy(key word was) and i am now looking for a mustang but i dont know that much about mustangs compared to what i know about camaros

You dont HAVE to have an X pipe but with LT headers you will need to swap to a shorty H or X. LTs and the stock mid pipe wont go together because they are too long.

if you get shorty headers you can keep your stock h or upgrade to an X forthe stock application, but only if you get full length headers will you need a special x or h...there are only two type of mid pipes, those for shorty and those for longtubes, (including mid length headers by bbk and bassani, these are considered to give the power of long tubes without the clearence issues) hope this helps
