air intakes/fox body mustang
im looking for a really good air intake for an 86 mustang. i honestly dont have the car yet, so i dont kno the configuration, but i wanted to get an insight from pple who already have experience. i noticed that JLT stopped making parts for the fox body. any reasons y? was it a recall or something? and even if i did get the part from somebody else or w/e, would that be the best one? is their any air intakes that compare to or are better than JLT's badass set up?
i like the c&l stuff (some people say it's junk but i disagree)
mostly because you can polish it easy if you want, and it has the nitrous boss near the TB
with a new meter....

i saw those b4. they look really badass. does it come with the filter and stuff? and what is the lb calibration? is that how much air is forced in? it goes up to 42lb's, which is freaking me out. and what about throttle bodies? u think i should just upgrade the intake when i decide to do this? i heard holly makes some badass intake manifolds.
haha... no...but yes
that extra thick spot is so you can tap a nitrous nozzle without tapping right into the tb.
but yeah...upgrading some induction and not all, wont do much. and really your heads are the first bottleneck. the stock stuff support 300 real hp, i have gone 12.50's on stock everything
if you get the whole kit it might come with a filter... i happened upon mine all by itself, and already had the new meter tb anyways
the thing with c&l is, you can use the same meter and your stock sensor. you just change a "sampling" tube in the meter.
the first one is free, i'd get a 24 lber for no fenderwell filter. i think it's orange ? but blue is normal 24 lber, clear is 19's ??? i forget they have a chart
and that is for the lb/hr injectors you have. stockers are 19, that tube is all over used for cheap. new tubes are about $20 if you upgrade later
holley is fine... im old skool... i like gt40 stuff. sexiest intake ever
here is mine
