getting ready to swap a redneck c4 into my car. currently have a 3.73 gear in rear. i want to keep the car more of a street car and highway car more than anything. sucks to loose od but i know this gear is going to blow on the street. im need to figure out which rear gear to go with. kinda leaning 2.73. any suggestions? and does it matter the maker of the gear? thanks

 

figure 250 rpm at any given speed per gearset. so yeah...if you go 2.73 from 3.73 you'll save about a 1000 rpm, and probably 2 mpg

the ET sacrifice ??? from a 5-speed i'd say 1/2 second to 3/4 second
AOD ??? probably faster
