Default Shorty X-pipe

Can you guys PLEASE tell me where I can find the magnaflow shorty x-pipe (part # 15447) cheap? It is $349.95 at steeda, but this price seems so unrealistic. I've looked on ebay but I cannot find one there either. I need this because I'm in CA and need to stay smog legal. Thanks.

Nope, just for the factory manifolds. The magnaflow I talk about above gets welded in place behind the stock factory cats. The cats and O2 sensors stay in the same stock locations-keeping it CA legal.

buying a regular size x-pipe with cats on it would still keep your car smog legal wouldnt it?

No because I would be going from 4 cats down to 2, and in the great state of CA, that is a big fail for the visual inspection. Pypes does offer an x-pipe with CARB legal cats, but I'm still now down to 2 cats which is bad.

they fail your emissions testing just because they only SEE 2 cats not by the actual smog tests? There has to be more than one brand of mid-pipe that has smog legal mid -pipes. Sorry I cant help ya any more but good luck.

I asked a buddy of mine at a local muffler shop if only 2 cats were smog legal and he said yes. Where are you getting your info from? I'm in CA too btw...

Well of course a muffler guy would tell you that because they want business, but I've talked with my mechanic and a tech person at smogtech.com. I know I can do anything I want with me exhuast if I get it smogged illegally. So at this poit, I'm just about to say screw it with the exhaust.
