Default Stroker?

I was thinking about swaping my 2 valve for a 4 valve on my 2002 s281, forging the internals and then slapping on a huge KB 2.2 blowzilla but the more i think about it, the more expensive the whole process sounds -and time consuming. I found a stroker kit here: http://www.coasthigh.com/ (scroll all the way down, its the 4.6 street fighter or maybe the street fighter pro) anyway, i was wondering what exactly a stroker is and what kind of power id see from it. I know the kit comes with forged rods crankshaft and pistons so id be able to run a ton of boost. Can someone tell me exactly what the kit is/does and if its worth it?

A stroker increases the size of your engine by making the stroke on the crank shaft longer. As for running a ton of boost, just because it has forged internals does not always mean you just run tons of boost. You need to look at compression ratio and the cam profiles in order to figure out how much boost you can run.

ok sorry, i should have cleared that up: I dont want to run a "ton" of boost, more like 12 psi at high rpm -definitely nothing like 20 lbs because that would just be rediculous.

a few more questions: if i got the stroker, how would it affect my gas mileage? would i still be able to install basic 4.6 L parts even though my engine would be a 5.1 L? if not, how would i get parts for a 5.1 L (ive never seen then anywhere before)?

I would stay less than 10 psi with motor and the tune will be critical. You can still use your heads and all the external accesories, it's basicly just the interanls that are changed.

does stroking an enigne change the compreesion ratio?
Depending on the head/piston/gasket used yes it can. If all other things are left the same, increasing just the stroke will increase the compression, but in reality that never happens as strokers require a piston change.
