Ford small block estimated MPG?
I'm devided as to whether to put a small bock into my 01 GT or mod what I have in it now.
I wonder what MPG I could expect out of a 347? How about a 351W? How about a 427 strocker? If I do I plan on either 10.5:1 (or 11:1) compression ratio, or 8.5:1 and 14 psi of boost. Fuel injected of course with electronic distributerless ignition.
Mmmmm, a blown 427 cu. inch. Ford small block. Watch this guy get an extra large double quarter pounder and a diet pepsi.

I think putting that engine in an 01 would be so much more of a hassle than you want to put up with. Stick with modding the 4.6L and youll have an impressive outcome if you do it right.
Lol. Think of that engine as a 351W. A 351 is only slightly harder to put in than the 302. Saleen done 351 motors before the S281. No problem when it comes to putting it in or making it run.
Mod your 4.6L look toward Supercharger on it and forged internals, if thats not enough go buy a 32V 4.6L and Mod it 4V per cylinder! But thats only if money isent a issue. Just stick wit ur 4.6L and Supercharger it !
