Is the only reason people are putting colder plugs in there cars is so they dont run lean???? does running lean mean car gets very hot and pings and detonates, is that not a gas issue.... do u gain or lose power when you go colder, it seems like a saftey over horsepower issuse..... do u gain or lose horsepower when u get colder plugs?? Someone wrote they took timing off and went colder and it performed better...is this true, doing those two thing youd think you lose power and gain "safer nitrous"? Someone also mentions the copper plug will melt before your pistion does, well is that on like 150 shot, i think it might melt anyway if something else is failing?? and spark blow out...is that possible?? unless your running 200 shot of nitrous, blow out just seems impossible to me, its electricity right, not a candle.....it just seems people are getting confused on people using 200-300 shots of nitrous vs most normal people using 75-150

yeah i agree, i use stock plugs gapped at about .035-.040 and call it a day.

no reason to go colder at all on 100 shot

I still use a 0.052 gap on stock plugs and it works fine, even when I sprayed my 125 shot.

I tried one step colder plugs and I didnt like the way it performed, it felt sluggish in all rpms.

The point of a colder plug is to keep the plug from setting off a pre-ignition, caused by an overheated electrode. Do you "NEED" colder plugs on a 75-100 shot? No you don't but lots of people feel safer, and I agree, a 12 set of plugs is cheap insurance, as is taking out a bit of timing. Most nitrous companies will give guidlines when using thier kit, it's not a bad idea to stick by what they say, 9 out of 10 times they are VERY conservative. For them it's not good for buissness if people hurt thier engines using thier product. Generally if you are a newb to nitrous I suggest that you err on the very safe side for awhile untill you learn more about the stuff.

I just put autolight 103 in my car just to be "safe", and I think the car runs better, and then I changed my spray from 75 to 100 , VENOM kits are very nice A+ worth every penny
