in muscle mustangs they gained about 10 hp from the x-pipe on a non-pi car like ours. i have an x-pipe with cats and it took 3/10 's off my 1/4 mile time. i remember this website that had alot of clips http://forums.mustangexhaust.com/for...c599988ac&f=19 you have to join to listen, it's free.

F.Y.I. with my magnaflow catback it's not that loud, when i floor it, sounds pretty good. not too loud, but loud enough that people look!! good luck.

Well installed the xpipe now im having a problem with it vibrating and hitting off something under the car under hard throttle. I think its hittion on the transmission crossmember. anyone else experience this problem? if so what did you do to fix it? i dont want to bend the pipe any but i think thats what im going to have to do to stop the problem.

same thing happen to me too. i got a shop to heat it and bend it a bit. it still bangs a little bit, very annoying. i took it to 5 diferent shops same shi$. i noticed the magnaflow x has a bar going across it that connects to the trans mount. i'm going to try to weld a piece from the pipe to the trans mount and see if that works. i called upr and told them my pipe wasn't fitted properly and they did jack for me. good luck.

i talked to a couple of people before that have 98's and they have the same problem too. some of the x-pipes have a separte piece for the drivers side that you can adjust with turning it down a bit (flange style). if it's a one piece x you might have to heat it up. let me know how you made out.

well i brought it back to the shop and i had them bend the pipe a bit, the vibration is better now not as much as before but there is still some when im under hard exceleration from a stop. i was thinking about getting some type of high temp. rubber material and trying to place it between the pipe and crossmember. i dunno what else to do [:@]

look at this pictute of the magnaflow x it has the bracket to connect it to the crossmember. i'm going to try to make one http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/15444_lg.jpg
