Default SO MAD! X pipe and catback problems

ok well i put my cat-back on a few weeks ago to the stock h pipe.. it fit but something just seemed a little short..like the way the tail pipes were to the bumper.. its a flowmaster american thunder cat-back system...its got a 94-97 mustang GT...the guy at jegs said the only difference between the catback for the cobra and the GT is the cobra one has stainless tips..i have a 97 cobra.... so i couldnt get the stock h pipe off..today my mechanic finally had time to do it, so i brought it there...

he got the BBK x pipe on but the catback didnt mount up to good. jsut like before the hangers and everything on the catback were pulled to the front of the car... and where the flow tubes and the x pipe meet up the flow tubes look like they need to be bent down kinda...

and it sounds raspy as ****.. im hoping its something rattling? i dunno..i drove it home and nothing seemed to hit anything, just had that weird sound when i gave it some gas..

on my 94 GT i had a h pipe and delta flow catback and in my AODE 96 gt vert i had a H Pipe and american thunder catback, and those sounded really good...

do x pipes make it sound like that or is it cause its not fitting too good?

im wondering if the guy at Jegs was a idiot and there is a size difference between the cobra and the GT exhaust thats why it does not fit good

Yes, x pipes are higher pitched and raspy. But, they shouldn't be like god awful raspy, unless it is off road. H pipes are much deeper, ballsier sounding

well bring it back to the guy that installed it and make sure everything is tightened up right, but X pipes are raspy..you are used to h pipes which have no rasp and are just deep, x pipes are a totally different sound
