Default M/T ET Streets ?

I just bought a set of M/T's et streets ( bias not radials) for the track and was wondering if it was safe to drive with them on the street for an extended peiord of time (about 90 miles). The problem with switching them at the track is that then I dont have a place to store my stock wheels while I run. Any ideas or tips on running the M/T's for the first time at the track? Thanks

No way would I drive 90 miles on those tires one way, what happens if you get a sudden thunder storm? You will be screwed. Change them at the track take a chain and lock and chain your tires to a light pole.

1quickshortbus, thanks for the response. That was my fear too and was seriously doubting driving up there with the tires but just wanted to ask and see what others thought. Any tips for running these tires at the track, tire pressure, etc. I know I've seen you on the "other" forum, any idea whats going on over there?

I have no idea whats going on, I know I wish it would come back up....

Just get the tires warm, no need to put on a smoke show. For tire pressure start around 18psi and go from there. You want them to be right on the edge of spinning because too low and you will bog.

Have your wife bring her PT cruiser and toss them in the back along with a big cooler of drinks.

Oh wait, that's what i'm going to do. Sorry.

I take a chain and I leave them seating at the pits, I usually chain them to my cooler and my jack so it is difficult for people to take them. How much can you drive with those tires on the street without problems.

Start getting to know folks at the track and park together. Then there's usually someone you know in the pits and you won't have to worry about it. Oh, and in reference to the other place...hard drive crash. Backup two weeks old, but they're trying to restore the hard drive. May be a couple more days.

Eric has an update posted on the home page address that says they lost a hard drive and also lost about 2 weeks worth of data.
