Default Poor mans lowering ....

Guys,
When I was much younger we used these clap like devices on the stock springs to lower the vehicle. Can this still be done and if so where does one buy these contraptions?

Poor idea. Compressing the springs to lower the car changes the loading rate. Springs aren't linear in their loading rate, so if you cut off the top quarter, or compress the top quarter you'll encounter performance troubles. At the very least, the ride will suck. Good Eibach Pro-Kit springs are only $220, save up and do it right.

OK so if I want to lower only the rear is there a set of rear springs I can by that will "match" the ride of the front springs?

Pick up a set of Roush rear springs (about $100) The drop will be even with the front.
