brake fluid and pads install questions
So I've searched the forum and not found this exact question. I'm replacing the brake fluid with an aftermarket high temp version...but I see that the brake fluid reservoir also supplies the clutch. I don't need to be concerned about that, right, meaning that any good brake fluid will be ok for the clutch too...yes?
Do I need to worry about the old fluid that's in th clutch when I change out the new brake fluid?
Will I need more than a 500ml bottle of brake fluid?
Is this procedure for bleeding the brakes essentially correct for s197s : http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/58.shtml#Brake ?
Also, any gotchas replacing the pads...it seems from everyone's comments on the forum, it's pretty straight forward.
Thanks in advance...

RE: brake fluid and pads install questions
Yup, that bleed technique is fine.
I bought 2, 1 liter bottles of fluid when I did mine, Used a full bottle and some from the other.
I recommend ATE Super Blue Racing.
Its blue, so you can tell when your getting all the new stuff in.
I used a brake flush machine. It hooks up to all 4 bleeders and does them at the same time, kinda neat.
