RE: FRONT SUSPENSION NOISE WARNING!
I too am getting very fustrated about the problems with the front-end of my 2006 Tungsten Grey, V6, Automatic, Pony Package, Interior Upgrade Package with 6,000 miles. The last couple of weeks have been off and on rain so I had not driven the Mustang in over two weeks. Since it was nice today I got it out to drive it to work and the whole way there I could hear the thunking in the front-end. I was so mad I called the dealer and asked about trading my car for a new 2007 model. To trade for the exact same car except with a 5 speed manual, side air bags, Pony Package, IUP, ABS and Traction control he wanted $4,000. I thought that was high as I only have 6,000 miles in almost a year of driving the car.
About a month ago I went to the dealer for an oil change and to have the tires rotated and the service manager said he could not find nothing wrong with the front end of my car and he had never heard of the "clunking" problem. He also said the CD player skipping with home made CD's was normal. Now what can I do?

RE: FRONT SUSPENSION NOISE WARNING!
I've got an '06 V-6 with the same clunking in the front suspension. It's been to the dealer twice for this and now they are telling me they can't fix it and that other Mustangs also have the noise. Reminds me of driving my '91 Mustang that was worn out!

RE: FRONT SUSPENSION NOISE WARNING!
Thought that TSB 07-18-2 took care of the clunking problem, it sure did on my 07 coupe, V6. It was like driving a different car after the fix. It involved installing different front strut mounts I think but never did get to see the parts they put in or took out. Absolutely, it was a miracle cure for my car.

It did. Take a look at the dates on the earlier posts. However, recentlu I have heard a couple of "thunks" when going over rough ice. Everything is tight underneath. Something I will keep an ear on.
