Trouble with LCA relocation brackets
If the holes on the relocationbracketswill not line up exactly you may have to file them out a tad(relocation brackets, NOT THE AXLE). Every now an then due to manufacturing tolerances they may be off a bit. I had to file one of the holes on my CHE relocation brackets as well. I just marked on the bracket while it was on the car where the bolt was hitting and filed it out with a rat-tail file. They fit on really tight however they shouldn't look bowed out or warped.
My drivers side bracket and billet lower were a PITA to get in. We had to bend the bracket a little to get that installed and them me and a buddy had to forcefully get that lower into place. I noticed that my drivers side axle bracewas slightly bent in on the bottom from the factory prior to installing the relocation bracket to it. Now the bushing has slight pressure on it from the inside due to this issue. I'm using the top holes for the lowers.
BMR says that as long as your 60 foot times are less tha 1.5 seconds bolting in the LCA's is okay. However, welding is always better. I don't want to weld anything onto my chasis to make it easier toreturn the car to stock someday.
just to update yall, finally tool car to the shop. they said there was no way to get the LCA's in regularly. they had to use the grinder to shave down some of the insides or the bracket. only like a mm. anyway they are now in and it all feels great.
