Default Problem with tires??

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if any of you have/had BFGoodrich G-Force tires and if you had any problems with them? I had a blowout on the interstate. It was the front passenger tire. I had 2 different tire dealers look at the tire (which was in pieces) and of course they said BFG wouldn't stand behind the tire. So I bit the bullet and bought another tire thinking that just MAYBE it was my fault. Well that was a week ago, I went to get in the Stang and now the back tire (drivers side)was very low (14lbs pressure) Now I know its not me. The car hasn't been out of my garage in a week, soI put 33lbs in the tire last night and this morning I checked it and theres 28lbs in it. My Stang is a 06 and I have 10,000 miles on it and its garage kept. It has to be these tires. I will be calling the car dealer I bought the car from Tuesday morning. But I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem with these tires AND what tires do you feel hold up well? I'm not getting these anymore!!! [:@]
Thanks for any help!

Hi bethb30,

Sorry to tell you this but the BFG g-Force KD/KWD etc. tires are very good tires and I doubt that they are the problem. You probably had the misfortune of running over something that has poked a hole in the tires on that side. Carefully examine the tires all around the tread and sidewalls inside and outside for ANY cuts, blemishes, screws, nails etc.this is the most likely problem and explains all of the problems you are experiencing. All you mayneed to do is just to patch the leaking rear tire and keep on drivingthem until the tread is all gone. There are other possibilities like thevalvestems are leaking through thevalves or porous or crackedwheelsand youwere runningwith low air pressure and the tire destroyed itself due to overheating. The other tire may also have this problem andthe valve is leaking or you have a punctureor sidewall damage that you don't see. These are the most likely problemswith yourtires.

Good luck!

If you run a tire at high speed with low air pressure it will blow-out. Do you check your air pressure often? Tire manufacturers won't cover blow-outs due to low air pressure. Is it possible that you had a leak in the right front tire before it blew-out? It also sounds like you have a leak in yourleft rear. Check for a nail or a screw before it blows-out. Also, if you run a tire on low air pressure you will ruin the sidewall before it blows-out. Make sure the sidewall of your left rear tire is not scuffed or damaged. If it is, put on a new tire.
