I am upgrading from the stock 17 by 8 inch rims to the FRPP 18 x 8.5 black bullitt rims the FRPP catalogue stated that you need a steering stop. I assume this to prevent tire rub. I bought the recommended part about 15 bucks but I have no idea where it goes (a little ring about thesize of a 50 cent piece). The ford part guy couldn't find a pix in their catalogue and Tech support at FRPP couldn't tell me where it goes. Any one can help????
I'l be going from 235/55/17 to 255/45/18 it looks like there's plenty of room

Should be plenty of room and not need any stop at all.

No stop needed if they are the wheels for the '05+. If they are '04 wheels, then maybe but I doubt it.
