has any one install a gt500 brace on gt with a stock hood i did and i have no problem but got one for buddy and he said it was holding the left side of the hood up now i have look at but he wants to turn it backwords and shim off the intake

Idid with no problem, but we had to put a couple of washers under the brace on the rear strut tower bolts, this angles the brace forward and down to where it cleared the hood on my buddies car

 

It fit my '07 with no problems, but I hear it might not fit as well with previous model years.
