I was looking at the Brenspeed suspension packages as I plan to drop my car soon, I was going to get the Eibach pro-kit and then some Tokico Shocks/struts. My question is, being just a spirited DD, do I need the D-Spec set, or will the HP set work fine for me? What are the major differences between the two series... I was also wondering if the Eibach pro-kit ( which includes Eibachs dampers ) is a good way to go rather than the tokicos, or are the tokicos better? Aaaaaalso, I know endless questions haha, where is the cheapest place you guys are finding the eibachs/tokicos? Any input I appreciate thanks!!

 

For a DD, I submit that adjustable shocks are better. You can tune them to stuff for the track, and back to soft for the street. I'm not sure which set you are refering to by "HPs", but it sounds like one of the cup kits available. If so, adjustable > non.

There was a group buy running about two weeks ago for D-specks @$475 shipped. I have seen them on eBay for $500 shipped.

I can't honestly tell you I'm the cheapest place.... I'm not. But I submit that I know more about the dampers, and how they work and effect the car than "cheap" places. I actually use them in competition with proven results and can give you technical info regarding the dampers themselves, as well as how adjustments effect the car. And I can do it better than the little "book" that comes with D-specs too. I sell D-specs for $539, and I do have a set in stock as well. All sales come with support.

I'd forget the regular Tokico's right now. The are ok as replacement shocks for aguy who just drives a car for prettybasictransportation. Theyaren't what I'd call true performance dampers in the sense of the good snubbed down, quicker responding, slower roll rate youget with better reboundcontrol.

 

Don't overlook Koni's..They are also adjustable, and Sam can fill you in with the details on why some people prefer them over Tokico's.. Something to do with independant rebound/preload..
