My other friend told me not to go for hawk becuase they are super loud.
and OEM is just a last resort.

Hawks are not super loud, HP Pluses can be, but the HPS and Ceramics are quite different. Lumping them all together is like saying your Mustang has to be black and slow because Model T's were.
I recommend (in most cases) Hawk HPS's, and use them myself. I'm not a fan of EBC myself, and Redstuff tend to lack a bit of initial bite in some cases. HPS's are cost effective @ $80 front, $65 rear and flat work all around. Cold, you can beat on them pretty well. Not the most powerful, but a good all around, everyday pad that does it's job well.

Gotta go with what Sam and Chi have already said. I've got the HPS pads on two of my cars and they aren't noisy in the least either on the car that I autocrossed last season or on my wife's daily driver. Paying careful attention to the bedding-in probably had something to do with that (something that I hope you followed on the EBC's).
Just as a friendly if belated suggestion - this isn't the busiest forum on the site . . . a little more than an hour and twenty five minutes patience, please.

RE: 11800 miles need new pads
I just did Hawk HPS pads all around and I can't hear anything different. I didn't really notice a difference until I didn't drive my car for week and I forgot I had changed the pads. I noticed much better initial bite and high speeds stops don't heat thebreaks until they are unusable.
I did have to buy new front rotors since my OEMs were heat chapped pretty bad. The new rotors arrived yesterday and after inspecting them I realized I had two right side rotors.
Tire Rack took care of it immediaitely and sent out a left rotor.
