Default Tire help!!


im lookin at the 18" 40mm offset rims. im havin trouble figuring out what size tires i could put with these rims...here's the link...

Those wheels are 8" wide, and that"s what really determines what tires are appropriate. Offset is for determining if the whole business will fit your car.

235/50 (OE 18" GT size)
245/45 (about 1/4" shorter than OE, not enough to worry about)
255/45 (OE GT500 front tire size)

In all cases, these wheels should let the tires ride a little less harshly than the OE 235/50 tires on the OE 8.5" wide rims. Flip side is that you can expect cornering response to be a little "softer" than if those wheels were 8.5" or wider.
