Default Rotor Pros High Performance Pads

Hey everyone,

I emailed Rotorpros earlier today for a quote on their
drilled/slotted rotors.

I got a reply with a pretty good price, and they offered
high performance brake pads with it for an additional $75.

If anyone have tried those pads specifically, how good are they?
And how would you rate rotor pros drilled/slotted rotors in general?

Depending on application - I would not buy any rotor that had been drilled. If you plan using your brakes in any kind of performance environment do not get cross drilled rotors - the holes act as stress concentrators and facilitate cracking in the rotor surface. As a street or show car, this would not be an issue. However, if you plan on stopping hard, do not get drilled rotors. Slotted rotors are great for performance applications - the grooves work to remove the build up of gases built up between the pad and rotor because of rubbing, facilitate the removal of water, aid cooling in a very minor way, and do not significantly weaken the rotor structure.

And this kind of answers your question about the brake pads - if you want the brakes for the looks, then don't worry about the pads. If you want them for performance, then get the pads. I haven't heard anything about them, use the search function to see if anyone has posted about them in the past.

Thanks for your input.

I don't plan on doing any performance driving.
It's mainly a DD street driven.

So, I understand that the drilled rotors could
crack under hard braking.

I just want to change out the pads since I'm
changing the rotors, but was wondering if
I should go with their pads or get some Hawk
pads instead?
