Are there any lowering springs that I can use with the stock shocks?

Default Are there any lowering springs that I can use with the stock shocks?

I just bought some Steeda heavy duty camber plates to get rid of my annoying thumping up front.

While I'm changing out the mounts, I thought I may as well drop the car a little at the same time.

I don't mind buying springs, but I don't have the loot to buy shocks/struts to. So the stocks are going to have to stay for a little while longer. 36k miles on them right now. If they need to be replaced in another year or so because of me dropping the car, thats fine. But right now isn't an option.

I'm fine with the handling of the car as it is right, the new springs will be purely for looks.

Thanks a lot.

you don't NEED new shocks and struts for most lowering springs, they're just recommended...

I wouldnt reccomend it but if you do go for the lowest drop possible like .5 inch- 1 inch max because the dampening will be increased and make the ride extra stiff. also it will increase the stress on the parts wearing them out at an alarming rate. Personally I think that your better off soing u/lca and phb vrs dropp springs. it wont give you the look but it will make you hook

Thanks for the replies. I got my new rims and tires on and I don't think it needs to be dropped. Looks a lot fuller now.

good choice. I will not lower mine purely because i think its low enough. i already scrape on speed bumps, curbs, parking lots ect. and i dont even have long tubes yet. if you lower it you start messing with pinion angels and other geomertry that i think is just another bag of apples that can just be better left alone and our money and efforts put elsewere.
