Hey guys I m working on trying to get my times down a little more and I am having some tire slippage, what size drag radials are you guys running. I am also having a problem finding weld or comprable rims for our s197 mustang what do you suggest? I know a 15 inch can be done by cutting or modifying the rear. dont want to go up to 20's

what rim and what tire should I use. like to keep it as light as possible!!!!!

You posted in the V6 section. But I hear Weld, Bogart, or any other lightweight 15" racing wheels will be fine for what you are looking for. I think sets of 4 cost $1k and up new without tires.

 

I thought this was in the s197 handling section but... Come on guys give me some sizes here 15 inch front and back or 17 inch front and back for 1/4 mile. would like to go lite in front and as wide as I can DR in the back

 

I picked up a set of the stock 16" V6 wheels and put some Mickey Thompson ET Streets on them, 255-50x16. The rear brakes are the same size for the V6 and the GT so the 16" wheel fits fine.
