Default 20 back and 18 front

I was wondering if anyone has put 20x10s in the back and 18x8.5s up front, how does it affect the handling and how does it look?
Thanks Fish

You will begin to introduce issues with the ABS system if you start getting too much differential between front/rear tire diameters. I don't know how much you can have without issues, but some figure as little as +/- 5%.

Why do you want to do this?

That may cause some understeer issues. If you match up overall diameters your 18's will have more sidewall than your 20's and look rather odd.
I ran a staggered set of 18" DD Bullitts and the rear tire had a much larger overall diameter and it drove pretty smooth. The car is lowered and with the staggered set up the rake came back but the huge gap was filled in nicely with the larger rear tires.I had no issues with the ABS system but I did have minimal understeer.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know how it would affect the car and was just curious.

I wouldn't do 20's and 18's. You might be able to get away with 19's out back, though.

Nissan does this w/ there 350z (and probably w/ the 370z in the future) w/o problems. As long as the overall tire diameter was the same what would be the mechanical problem?

Because if you make the tires the same diameter on different size rims, it looks stupid. The 350/370Z's ABS system is engineered to have the larger wheels out back, so it's a non-issue. We don't have that luxury, unless you think you have to know-how to reprogram the ABS system within the car's ECU.
