It all depends on what you want. If you buy a package you get what they have decided to offer. If you "roll your own" then you can get what you want.

For example are the shocks/struts in the Roush package adjustable? If not then how to you optimize them for use as a DD versus track days.

As you can see from my sig my car includes the Roush SC kit (445 HP) but the rest was selected by me.

After a quick check of the Roush web site http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=1145 it appears that the difference is due to the Stage 3 kit having higher rate front front springs to accomodate the extra weight of the SC and plumbing. If you install the kit before the SC then the front end will sit a little higher until the SC is installed.

The main problem I see with this kit is that it does not address the wheel hop issues as there are no LCAs and/or UCA parts included. IMHO If you add the SC without making these changes then you will find that the stock wheel hop is aggravated. The new shocks will help but not as much as other mod.

It also does not appear to include an adjustable Panhard bar so after lowering the car your axle may not be centered.
