Default Rim & Tires

I want to go with a 255/45/18 on my 06 gt. The rims are aftermarket. Anyone see any problems? Her is a link for the rims. 18x9.5

If these rims are the correct 45 mm offset then you should have no problems. I run 285/40/18, which are also 27 in diameter, on 18 x 9.5 rims on front and rear. The 285s did not rub before lowering and then only slightly on the inner fenrders after lowering.

255/45-18 on 45mm offset 18 x 9.5 wheels is the factory front wheel and tire for the GT500. If those wheel dimensions and tire size are what you have, there should be zero risk. The offset can probably vary a mm or two from 45 without causing any problem.

The rims that are advertised are 18x9 which is not the standard GT500 rim size which are 18x9.5

There are some GT500 aftermarket rims out there that are 18x9.5 but the offset is either 45mm or 50mm. Just make sure that the narrower rim you are looking to buy with a 50mm offset doesn't sit too deep in the wheel well.

There are plenty of tire calculators that can tell you how much change from your stock tires these new ones will have.
