Lowered car about 1.5" in back. How much do you take of the jounce stopper and how'd you do it?

+1. Even if you find it necessary for some reason be judicious. Having the axle contacting the frame is generally not a good thing.

I measured between the frame and the bump stop. I had 5/8" between them with a 1/4 tank of gas. I knew something was wrong with the new springs because the ride seemed nervous which is why I checked. 5/8" isn't much for for the shocks/springs to work. I trimmed about 1" off and it made a big difference. The car isn't nervous any more because the supension is actually working and not kicking the back up making the front work more. The ride before wasn't horrible or anything and I can understand why people don't notice it. The bump stops are progressive in design so it doesn't feel like your bottoming out. But it's night and day from what it was before.

The rear bumpstops are also progressive, they are not solid stops. When you cut them you gain some travel, but you also hit them more abruptly when you get that far.

To each his own, but I prefer a longer somewhat softer stop so that the wheel rate isn't spiked as much when you contact the stop.
