Default Front Sway Bar

Haven't messed with front end suspension or weight reduction yet and I was wondering if you can remove the front sway bar without replacing it with another part? How much weight does that drop?

Its only good for going straight.
It does not handle correctly on
the street without the front sway bar.

Default Steeda Radiator Support

I went with steeda radiator support bar...gives you the option of running the front sway bar or not.. I just got it today...still waiting for my BMR K-Member and A Arms...

I installed the BMR front sway bar delete and radiator support delete over 2 years ago. This is a very noticable mod. When you step on the gas the front end (body not wheels) raises up in the air and weight is transfered to the rear end. (where you want it.)

The next step is to install the tubular BMR "K" member and "A" arms.

I have over 52,000 miles on my car now, its a daily driver. I have not experienced any handling issues.

The front of these cars weight in at 1900 lbs, with the rear at 1650. Any weight you can get off the front of the car will improve handling.

If you want to pick up some seat of the pants HP, take all that factory stuff off and go tubular. You will be surprised.

The OP uses his car for strip only but those of you considering removing the front sway bar for combined street/strip use might want to review this thread
