New brake pads -Performance Friction or Hawks?
Getting new pads, always used Performance Friction on my previous (imports) cars, but wanted to try Hawks. PF are somewhat cheaper. The car is everyday driver, driven quite aggresively... Also, new "cheap" rotors VS stock resurfaced??

Considering how cheaply you can get new stock rotors for in the US it is would probably cost less than resurfacing the old ones, especially as Ford's official recommendation is that the rotors be resurfaced on the car - http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=99&viewfile...0Machining.pdf

would definatley do the Hawks (little partial)as i assume your talking about the HPS's and check the rotors for wear. your local shop should be able to tell you how much life they have left. Hawk recommends resurfacing when using their pads for the first time for proper beding. i am sure some one will chime in and state what the parameters are for good rotors and ones that need to be replaced.

I've used Hawk track pads and like them alot. This year however I switched to Carbotech, primarily because I can swap from the street pad to track pad without any rebedding. So...for the street I'm using Carbotech Bobcats (roughly the equivalent of the Hawk HP+) and I'm sold. They are outstanding. Quiet, great stopping power, very linear and progressive, light dust. Good stuff.

I'd say yes to EBC Yellowstuff if you are not using R-compound tires. I switched to the EBC Yellowstuff and R-compounds at the same time and I'm almost to where I was with the HPS and sticky street tires (180 tread wear rating). The extra speed and grip of the R-comps (Nitto NT01) brought back some of the pad fade I was experiencing with the Hawk HPS'.
