MELLOWYELLOW does that 08 GT500 have an automatic trans? In that picture that you posted it apears to look like an auto. As a side note there are used take-off GT500 steering wheels available on some online auction sites - varying from 75-150$, they are just like the Bullitt wheel but with red stitching. Nice thick wheel with thumb spots.

Yeah it looks like a TCI ratchet shifter for the auto trans. Also, the dash is the cheap black plastic on the base mustang and I'm pretty sure GT500's didn't come with a tan interior. They just put in GT500 gauges and the GT500 brushed rings around the air vents.

But that is an awesome looking steering wheel.

I just swapped out my IUP wheel for a Bullitt wheel and just love it! But with the nice price jump in Jan., they are pricey at ~$360. I found a like new used one for about $100 less.

Install is a piece of cake and takes all of 15 min.

I keep my helmet in it's own bag, with my balaclava tucked inside. It sits on top of my bag that has my firesuit, HANS, socks, underwear, shoes, notebook, etc in it. It's next to my 4 sets of tires, toolbox, etc. Everything else is inside my trailer.

....what's your point?

MY point is that simply having a helmet on the floor of your car and an aftermarket steering wheel hardly "says it all". What it DOES say is you are overly pretentious (here you go, in case you need it - http://www.merriam-webster.com/ ) .

I openly admit I despise the people on here that give bad info, and think because they throw some money at their car that they have somehow transformed into Kimi Raikkonen overnight.

I suggest you go hang out on the NASA forum where you can provide your wealth of knowledge to others with your years of experience. Mr. American Iron.

Why cant you guys just give the guy some useful information and stop bashing each other. This is turning into an RSX forum, where every kid just talks ****.

This pic is of TEIN/IMPULSE Mustang GT. Interior is Sparco Seats with Sparco wheel. It also has a quick release hub on it as well. I was really thinking about going with this setup but in the end ill probably go with the stock wheel with a quick release in the end.
