Default STEERING WHEEL?

Anyone changed their steering wheel on an 05 GT? Is there a smaller one more suited to track use?

You can use the current Bullitt wheel, which I put on my car and the 2010 GT500 wheel works too but all the radio functions on the wheel will not work.

The stock steering wheel is just fine for track use, and the DOT frowns upon removing factory restrain systems like airbags.

My buddy just got a FAT ticket. Of the 17 , yes SEVENTEEN violations he was written up for, one of them was his Momo steering wheel.

Call Kevin @ Clevenger Ford. 1 800 570 5554 - He specializes in mods for forum members. Your factory wheel will work fine nut the steering wheels above have a nicer texture leather to them and beefier, anatomical shaped grips. You wont have trouble with the law since its a factory wheel and it uses your SRS Airbag.

No, just a thicker more anatomical grip.

You can swap it out yourself, here is a link to the instructions, although I do remember reading somewhere that the 25mm bolt is one-time use.
