Granatelli Double bar strut tower brace
#22
One front brace that's worth considering is the lower tie bar. It braces the rear mount points of the control arms, which are actually cantilevered from the main chassis structure. That matters because for a given cross sectional structural shape (i.e. width/depth/thickness/length), a cantilever presents the least amount of stiffness against lateral loads and bending. Think "least rigid" or "most likely to need help" here.
Apparently Ford made this a running production change as it appears to be OE at least on the GT from at least as far back as '08. Earlier cars, and possibly sixxer cars, do not feature it. It's light, low, and short.

Point taken Norm. I just figured with as many as there are available and in many brands that are reputable, I thought I was buying a product that really worked as they state it does. Now I know and I will also pass this info on to my friends that thought the same as me. Atleast it looks good and was cheap. Thanks Norm.
