Thanks guys. It's nice to get a reasoned explanation. I still have concerns about the coils that touch when loaded though. I would think there is going to be some noise as the spring loads and unloads.

Rubrignitz:

Perhaps the springs are lighter than the Steeda Sport springs? The Comps are obviously more tightly wound and use less wire.

I see you have an Alloy car too. Have you noticed that it looks particularly awesome under sodium vapor streetlights at night?
