Default Wheel spacers?

I measured the width of my rims today, they're 9". I love the look of a 10" width, but I'm not able to go with a staggered set-up due to my limited college-budget. I was looking at Eibach's Pro-Spacer kit, they add an extra 1.181" for about $50.00. Any opinions before I pull the trigger?

I hear wheel spacers can be unsafe, do your research on here before you get a certain one.

pretty common upgrade on the S197's to fill the wheel wells up a little better. I don't know that I'd go much over an inch, but a good billet spacer that bolts on should be OK. Don't get the spacers that don't bolt on. There isn't enough meat on the stock studs to go through the spacer and hold the rim on. .

Thanks for the replies, guys. Here's a link to the spacers I'm looking at, that could give you guys a better reference.

Want to do the exact same thing. From what I researched, these would be ok, and like previously said, the spacers would be bad, but these have the lugs on them. I think these are safe. The spacers that just push out the tire but use the factory studs are a no no. Use some thread lock to make sure the lugs dont slowly loosen on you and I think you will be fine. And BTW thanks for brinign those to my attention! Heck of a price
