How to improve steering feel?
Thank you everyone for your very thoughtful responses. Steering feel is obviously a very complicated issue made only more so by adding new parts to the equation.
And in response to just1guy, rolling stock and wheels are stock GT 500 front and rear, no camber bolts or plates other than OEM Ford, and I believe the car was 4-wheel aligned but no idea as to specs.
I am beginning to feel it is just the way new Mustangs are supposed to feel.

Those front rims/tires should have no problem giving good turn in feel. They will not be an “R” compound tire type feel but good feel none the less. That’s good rubber you have there. What pressures do you have them set at? That has a lot to do with things too.
I am running the same size rolling stock in the front as you but with “R” compound tires and for a while I ran it lowered but without camber bolts/plates, etc and I had no problem setting it up for phenomenal front end feel. There’s no reason you can’t have great front end feel with what you have currently.
Good luck!
Thanks just1guy I will get my car realigned using your specs if you will let me know what you suggest. I think I am running 32psi all the way around which I believe is OEM Shelby Gt 500. Tires are great except when cold or wet and then, being summer tires, slide around all over the place. Fun without the traction control sort of Tokyo drift.

• 1 deg of negative camber. They may not be able to get it this low though without camber bolts or plates. I ran 1 deg negative for a long time and it was great but I am now running 1.4 deg negative and it’s even better. It accelerates tire wear on the inside of the tire though. It feels so good I could care less though.
• Have them get as much caster as they possibly can. It won’t be enough though. You need plates to get enough.
• And I run zero toe.
Good luck
