Do the stock LCA's have spherical joints?

No they do not. What they do instead is give you soft rubber bushings with air gaps in them to allow the articulation---but that also is what allows the bushings to shake and gives you wheel hop.

I understand the reasons for getting LCA's with spherical ends, but I'm still leaning towards the ones with poly bushings.

Do the Spherical parts have a shorter lifespan/higher maintenance?

Ok, I was just trying to make you aware of the differences. Not like I don't have the Steeda or UMI all poly arms too.

No no, thank you very much for explaining the differences.

I just don't want to get one set of LCA's then decide that I should have bought the other. That's why I asking so many questions.

I understand.

Unlike a lot of places that just want to sell parts, I also want to sell you the best part to fit your needs.

Any will help your wheelhop, but something that articulates will work better over imperfect roads.

I'd suggest either of these two for that reason:

The UMI roto-joint is fully serviceable and tensionable which a rod-end or normal spherical bearing is not..... I'd really recommend that UMI part, and if you need adjustable they make the same thing in adjustable as well. In fact, here's the entire LCA page from my site: http://www.stranoparts.com/searchbym...&CategoryID=99

I think I've pretty much ruled out the billet Steeda LCA's. These UMI pieces are alot cheaper.

How often do the spherical bearings need to be services or lubed?

I've decided to get the UMI ones with the spherical bearings.

As soon as I fix my wifes car, I'll be ordering a set from you Sam. Thanks again everyone for all your help.

Just make sure that you get the poly on one side and the rod end on the other.
