Bringing this slightly back on topic, does anyone know the length of the stock rear springs? And how much do they compress under the weight of the car to reach ride height?
Hey! I drove a '69 beetle when I was a kid in high school.
Mine was a nice 65 - at least until I flipped it onto its side on a "high speed driving skill test" and pushed the top of the driver's side in about 4 inches. The replacement body was a little holier.
