Default Front control arms

Ok trying to do some research on this, now I have read that the front ball joints are not "serviceable", I want to revamp the front control arms, I want to install the steeda x5 ball joints with their bushing kit, I also have been told there are no differences between the control arms on these cars, but its the joints and bushings that are upgraded. Has anyone used the factory control arms and just switched the bushings and joints or are you required to get an aftermarket control arm to do the work. If that is the case where can you get a control arm without all the bushings and joints installed on them.

I believe, if I am correct, the Ford dealer replaces the whole arm with the ball joint installed when required rather than bothering to knock out the old ball joint. With the Steeda x5 ball joint you can just replace the factory one and leave the factory arm.

Take care, you may need eighteen inch wheels for the Steeda. Check with them first.

Cheers.
