285/35/19 on the front oem brembo wheels, will they fit?

It's not generally recommended to mount that size tire on wheels any less than 9.5" wide, with the possible exception of very short durations under unusual circumstances.
Dropping back to a 275/35-19 would put you with a genuinely recommendable tire:wheel combination.
A 275/35-19 will have about the same clearance as 275/40-18's, which have a better chance of fitting without rubbing than a 285/35-19 will (which will have about the same clearance - or rubbing - as 285/40-18's). I am assuming that the 19" rims and the 18" rims have similar offsets here.

I can't speak to the wheels but I do know my 285s rubbed to the point of causing damage. I would absolutely not put them on the front again. The tramlining and tire slap and not being able to go to full lock ever without chewing through wires and fender liners was absolutely not worth whatever minor gains I got over a narrower front.

did the 285s rub the fender or just the inner plastic?
i ask because I auto-x and i can put wider tires on the stock size wheels and stay in F stock. dont want to stagger.
I have the 3.73 rear and dont want to put a smaller diameter tire on because i run out of 2nd gear rpms on the 255-40-19s.
any other suggestions to wider street tires on stock brembo wheels?

They do fit
I bit the bullet and after measuring, i ordered 4 bridgestone re-11's 285-35-19 and put them on the Brembo wheels and they fit without rubbing.
suspension is stock. I do have -2 camber up front for auto-x but don't think it was necessary to fit.
