So I had this clunk in my rear that was driving me nuts. Thought it was my umi lower control arms or adj panhard cause they have poly bushings. Checked them all nothing. So got new shocks in and 90% clunk gone i am thinking little i hear is from control arms. My one question the koni boot had a metal plate on top and stockers have the curved metal that goes under the bushing I put them back in like stock not thinking so was I supposed to still use it even though the boot had metal on top.

Yea was on stockers. It was most bumps and slower speeds made it clunk more. But its pretty much gone. I just took it for a quick ride around block on road I knew it always clunked on. So I can't say really how the ride difference is

I'm not sure what you're talking about?? I used the stock bushings and hardware from the old shock and put them on the Konis. The boot was plastic...I don't remember any metal on top of the boot.
The ride was a fair improvement over the stock shocks. I don't grind my teeth in anticipation of potholes anymore and the brake dive and wheelies have been reduced.

i put mine all back together with stock hardware..I just never saw a plastic boot with the large metal to plate in it. it just threw me for a little. I have one thing I HATE about struts and these type of shocks...WHY oh WHY cant they put a normal socket type head on them..instead of having to use a crescent wrench or find a open wrench small enough..I HATE that and it makes it a PITA to tighten down i think...I know they dont gotta be super tight but still a bitch
