Suspension differences and swapability
I have an 06 gt and was wondering if there is much difference between the 06 and 09 suspension and if there was can I put the 09 stuff under my 06. And if possible will it ride stiffer?
I doubt that there would be a significant difference between the two.
What are you trying to do? If you want a stiffer ride then look into suspension kits from Roush, Steeda, Eibach, Strano, Pedders, FRPP, etc.

Suspension parts for the 2005 - 2010 cars are generally interchangeable whether they're OE or aftermarket, if that's what you're getting at. Convertibles (extra OE bracing) and certain combinations involving aftermarket parts (fighting over the same space) are the most likely trouble areas.
OE suspension tuning more than likely did vary slightly over the years, and at least between the V6/GT/GT500 sub-models. That would have involved making variations in the spring stiffnesses and sta-bar diameters/stiffnesses, not major overall size/length/shape redesigns.

What I'm looking to do is see if there's basically any updated parts on the 07-09 models for the suspension. Im worried about going aftermarket because my wife has a nerve disease that makes painful for her to ride in stiff riding cars. So i figured if they updated stock suspension it may handle a little better for me without making it worse for her.
