Default new wheels/tires

so i currently have nitto nt555 20 inch 305 in the back 275 in the front this is how i bought the car and saleen style rims. i would just get new tires but the problem is they are way to big in the car and hits the body on bumps all the time i have cracks on the body from the wheel hitting my car.

so i wanted go down to 19s with 275 in the back 255 in the front american muscle doesn't have a package for wheel and tire for saleen style rims on 19s does any1 know any other places where i can get a staggered set for a reasonable price im a full time college student with not to much money thanks.

sorry for all the punctuation mistakes bare with me.

What do you mean they are too big and hit the body?.. What does the rear?.. I have, as well do many others on here, 20s all around and have no issues.. What's your suspension like?

I see what you mean now.. Why not just go to 285s or 275s in the rear?

you have to upload a photo to photobucket or some other free host - then post a link to that.

It's really hard to tell what the real problem is without having more information. Offhand, I'm guessing that you may have got rear wheels with the wrong offset (wheels intended for the SN95/New Edge or marketed as "deep dish").

Can you provide the complete tire size information, rim width and offset, and how much you're lowered (if at all)?

I can tell you that 275/40-18's on 18 x 9.5"x +45mm wheels will fit up front, so 275/35-19 on 19 x 9.5 x +45mm should also work. As would 255/40-19 on those same 19" wheels if you insist on having noticeable stagger.

Sharony1994,

It sounds like the 305 you have in the back is just to big when running a 20in wheel. However some people run this with no problems, are you running stock suspension or is the car lowered?

You could probably get away with just throwing a set of 275 or 285's on without any issues. However if you're looking to swap out the 20's for 19's we can definitely put a kit together for you. Give my CS team a call and they'll put a wheel and tire kit together for you since we don't have the exact set up your looking for preset.

Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.
