Just installed some proforged ball joints in my BMR a arms because i was having a bad popping noise and wheel felt like it was going to fall off. Also replaced tie rod end because the boot was worn with moog tie rod ends. The difference was night and day took a while to install but it was very much worth it didnt think it could affect the handling so much. Anyone else ever dealt with proforged or moog?

 

Got pics of install? Do you know there I can find instructions? I wanted to look at doing this too as I noticed my rubber boots were also broken. I'm getting back to working on my car again, its been 6 years to long.

 

I've sold MOOG and TRW chassis for over 20 years and have had zero problems other than mechanic install goofs. The products are USA made (some Canada) but the foreign car chassis is mostly made in Japan or China. MOOG is so much better than say AutoZone's and others Chinese (lifetime warranty but you pay the labor to R&R) parts. Carquest and Napa parts are reboxed MOOG so their quality is there. Carquest and NAPA also use the same brand of oil filters only in different boxes (Wix). Not much difference between the two. Just price.

 

I just put Moog tie rods on my car. They were a little tight for the first 100 miles. I installed gt500 control arms at the same time and the front end feels so much better.

 

hey sorry to get back to you so late. no I'm sorry don't have instructions it is pretty easy with the proper tools and is straight forward. I had to rent a tie rod separator from advanced for 100$ and a ball joint press kit for 140$ got all the money back and doing it yourself is way cheaper than taking it to a shop. Do it right and you won't have any problems. Also had a Haynes manual for the car it helps when you have questions.
