Default Tire help

Sorry if this has been answered before, I spent the past hour using search... no luck

I have 17x 8 wheels on my 07 mustang.. It has the original pzero 235/55/17 tires. I know that changing tire sizes throws off the speedo (my tuner allows me to input tire sizes)

Heres my question:
How wide can I put on the back of my car without rubbing, or being to wide for my rim.
These are the exact wheels that I have on my car. http://www.newtakeoff.com/chrome_mus...t_of_four.aspx

Any tire that maintaine the same or close to overall height of the tire won't affect the speedo. DO NOT assume that a tire that has the same aspect ratio will mean it's the same height. You can have a skinny tire with the same aspect ratio that will end up shorter that your stock tire or a fat tire with the same ratio that will end up taller.

As for rubbing and such, I belive 295 is as fat as you can go no the rear, 275 on the front.
