What size threads do our axle vents have?
My vent is missing, letting who knows what get in there.
I can see from a mark left above the hole that when the vehicle was lowered, it hit while going over a bump and was presumably removed then. I don't know for sure, that was all previous owner stuff.
I'd like to put a 90* fitting on there along with some hose or maybe one of the little sintered, low profile filters, but I don't know what size or style of thread I should be looking for.
Anyone got a spare they could measure for me?

Interested in this as well.
I've been told that it's the same thread as the plug that ships in the aluminum FRPP diff cover for its vent port but I haven't verified that for myself. That plug appears to be 20 threads/inch and about 0.415" OD. Diameter seems a little small to be 7/16-20, though.

Nohippychicks, your axle vent is very important. You don't want excess pressure build up and blow out a few axle seals. That being said, I had problems with my 2014 Mustang GT, and after I replaced the OEM fitting with a "low profile" screed fitting, I had no future troubles. By the way, I got my fitting from Jegs, Give them a call and it is a "done deal."
