Heres a good explanation of the dealer holdback on Edmunds:

RE: New Shelby GT500 below sticker
There's three stickers on the car.
One is the factory MSRP listing factory added options.
Then there's the Shelby sticker, with their upgrades listed.
The dealer mark-up is the 3rd sticker.
My question is, is the Shelby amount ($8k and change) added on top of the MSRP sticker, or included in it.

I love the look of the Roush, and the GT500. But I want the GT500 and as soon as my finances straighten out I will get one. There is Atlanta that sells them for MRSP so I am going to take that 2 hr drive to get one instead of paying 20,000 over invoice in Augusta.

^1+ i hear a lot of good things about the ATL area. you will probably not believe this, but here in Chandler area, they are getting way over sticker. I went to Tucson today, there is a dealer there asking +30,000 over sticker. i said "man, thats not going to move" he just said well it will and you wont be the buyer. that kinda made me P.O. anyway, i cant keep my eyes off of a 08 black gt500 with white stripes. they have it for sticker because they believe that the black/white combo is common. granted i like the black/tungston color combo a little more, but to grab it for sticker? i would "suffer" with those colors.
