stock heat exchanger pump on/off
I have a 2010 gt500 that has a heat exchanger pump that doesn't appear to ever come on and circulate the intercooler fluid.Does the pump only come on at a certain temperature or is it supposed to turn on when you first start the car?Car only pulled 111.7mph on a 60 degree day.Had to granny shift. Is 111.7 about right for this driving style?
I can tell you that the pump dos not run all the time...cuts on and off as the comp tells it to.
I've had my car running over 140 and still pulling strong....however, if your car is brand new, BRAND NEW...for like, the first 50 miles it doesn't make full boost...and it won't let it do certain things until is has so many miles on it to give it a "break in" period...
On a side note...the reason it they started that was because on the 07GT500s the dealerships were taking them out for "test drives" and beating the **** out of them and then selling them as new..... So now they won't run wide open until they have "X" number of miles....

thanks for the info distant soldier,my car had just over a 1000 miles when I went to the strip. What kind of et's are you getting with the nittos and bolt-ons?They don't make a drag radial for a 19 inch rim;hopefully next summer.
