Default alarm

Is the alarm on the gt500 convertible better than the one I had on my 06gt? I'm going to seriously need a good perimeter alarm.

I don't know what type of alarm you had in your GT, but the GT500 comes with a factory active alarm system that protects all entry points (doors, hood, trunk), has an inclinometer and interior motion detectors. There are no exterior perimeter sensors.

Nope, its the same or worse.
Remove the tires every night for the ultimate drive away protection.
A neon light transformer will skin the stang with 12,000 volts at 30 mA
and not even a cat will jump on her.

You should already have (and use) a car cover. There are plenty in all price points for the GT500. I use mine nightly, mainly because a cat likes to sleep on my cloth top, but it really keeps the car clean and safe from curious eyes.
Alarms tend to go off for no reason, and are rarely worth the money. A factory alarm, covered under warranty, should be plenty.
